Inside a Flammy Studios shoot: from brief to final frame

A good production starts long before the camera rolls. Here is how we turn a brief into a visual story, and what you can do to help every stage run smoothly.

Flammy production work

Start with the message

The first conversation is about purpose. Who needs to see this film, what should they understand, and what should they do next? A campaign, a seminar recap and a documentary may use similar equipment, but they ask very different things of the audience. Bring your goals, references and intended publishing channels to the consultation. Together, we can turn those ideas into a clear direction.

Make decisions before shoot day

Pre-production connects the creative idea to the practical plan. We agree on the production approach and estimate, identify the people and locations involved, and map out the footage the edit will need. Once the estimate is approved, a 70% deposit allows us to bring in equipment and resources. Clear decisions here protect time on set and help the crew concentrate on the story.

Give each moment its attention

During filming, our producers guide interviews and direct movement so contributors understand what is expected of them. The crew works to the agreed brief, goals and budget. For clients, one available point of contact helps resolve questions quickly. It is also useful to flag essential brand details, names or messages before a scene is finished.

Build the story in the edit

Post-production gives the footage its final shape. The team selects, arranges and refines material to match the agreed vision. An edit typically takes around a week, although larger projects can take longer. When reviewing, gather feedback from your decision-makers into one clear response. Time-stamped comments are especially useful when a particular shot, word or graphic needs attention.

Review, approve and deliver

We share an unlisted YouTube link for review and ask for feedback within two weeks. Once the final review and payment are complete, the licensed video file is delivered through Dropbox. Download and store a copy for the long term. The final handover is the point where a shared idea becomes something ready to meet its audience.
